Travel GI/Endoscopy

American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Tech with 1-2 years of experience for a 13-week day shift contract at an acute care hospital in Salem, MA.

Job Details

• Full-time position (40 hrs/week) in a busy Endoscopy/GI unit with 8 procedural rooms and 18 PACU bays,
• Unit handles MAC and conscious sedation procedures, with dedicated holding and recovery rooms,
• Day shift: Monday-Friday, 7:15a-3:45p with a rotating day of 8:00a-4:30p; department hours span 6:30a-5:30p,
• On-call required for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays,
• High-volume unit averaging 60-70 procedures per day,
• Clinician-to-patient ratio is 1:1 in procedural rooms and 1:2 or 1:3 in PACU,
• Patient population is all ages/types,
• Charting performed in Epic EMR,
• No floating required,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of GI/Endoscopy Tech experience required,
• Proficiency in Olympus scope setup, handling, and reprocessing required,
• BLS certification required - AHA only; Red Cross, CHSF, and Military cards are not accepted at this location,
• SGNA or CBSPD certification preferred,
• Epic EMR experience preferred,
• License required if applicable - MA Conditional Licenses are not accepted,
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted,
• 2 professional references required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Assist with GI/Endoscopy procedures including scope setup and reprocessing across 8 procedure rooms,
• Provide support in holding and recovery areas including PACU,
• Rotating shift days may be required based on departmental needs,
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible to apply,
• Time and attendance tracked via UKG/Kronos,
• Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public parking is available at candidate's expense
