About This Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Inspector to join our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing team on the swing shift. This is a critical role that ensures the highest quality standards in our electronics manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and test printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for defects, soldering quality, and component placement accuracy
• Operate and maintain Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment and other quality control testing devices
• Perform visual inspections following IPC-A-610 standards and company specifications
• Document inspection results and maintain detailed quality records
• Identify defects and communicate findings to production and engineering teams
• Collaborate with manufacturing staff to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols
• Meet or exceed daily inspection quotas while maintaining high accuracy standards

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing QA inspection or similar role
• Knowledge of SMT assembly processes and PCB inspection techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail with excellent visual acuity
• Ability to work swing shift (typically 3 PM - 11 PM or similar)
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC-A-610 certification or willingness to pursue certification
• Experience with AOI equipment and automated inspection systems
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, etc.)
• Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) tools
• Knowledge of soldering standards and defect classification
• Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
