Summary The Server must be professional with high-energy and excellent communication skills. The Server serves food and drinks and introduces the daily specials and limited time offers. The Server ensures that customers leave “Panza Llena, Corazon Contento®”. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintains a professional and welcoming attitude while at work. Adheres to the Company’s alcohol service policy, safety procedures and food and beverage policies. Answers customer questions and makes recommendations for all menu items. Takes customer food and drink orders accurately and promptly. Enters food and beverage orders into the point of sale (POS) system. Properly processes customers’ payments and provides accurate change. Ensures the balance of the bank at the end of the shift. Handles customer complaints or problems in a positive, courteous manner. Maintains a high level of cleanliness throughout the restaurant. Completes all opening and closing duties and other server duties thoroughly and efficiently. Qualifications Education & Experience: Ability to speak, write and understand simple instructions in English. Spanish-speaking is a plus but not required. Must have a Food Handler Certificate and be Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Certified. Must be a team player and customer service oriented. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Physical Requirements Stands and walks on uneven, slippery, and/or wet surface for at least 8 consecutive hours. Speaks and listens in-person to staff and customers for at least 8 consecutive hours. Speaks through radio and listens through earpiece for at least 8 consecutive hours. Clearly observes customers in the dining room from up to 100 feet. Routinely lifts, stoops, kneels, bends, pushes, and pulls up to 25 pounds, and reaches overhead. Routinely carries full-service tray and performs moderately strenuous activity for 8 consecutive hours.
