About the Role:

The Supermarket Frozen Food Stocker plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and availability of frozen food products within the store. This position ensures that all frozen food items are properly stocked, organized, and displayed to maximize customer satisfaction and sales. The stocker is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, rotating products to maintain freshness, and adhering to safety and sanitation standards specific to frozen goods. By efficiently managing the frozen food section, the stocker helps create a seamless shopping experience for customers and supports overall store operations. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly frozen food department.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Basic math skills for inventory counting and stock verification.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods in a cold environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in grocery or retail stocking, particularly in frozen food departments.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling of frozen products.
• Experience operating pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and unload frozen food deliveries, verifying accuracy against invoices and purchase orders.
• Stock shelves and freezers with frozen food products in an organized and visually appealing manner.
• Rotate stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure product freshness and minimize waste.
• Monitor product expiration dates and remove any expired or damaged items promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the frozen food section, including freezers and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers by answering questions and locating frozen food items as needed.
• Report inventory shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor to facilitate timely replenishment.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines related to handling frozen foods and operating freezer equipment.
