Career and Employer Relations Specialist – University Career Services, Georgia State University We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our team as a Career and Employer Relations Specialist. The role involves providing career counseling, developing presentations, building employer relationships, and supporting student success initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide career counseling, exploration, and search strategies to individual students and groups. Develop and conduct career-related presentations for academic classes, student organizations, and campus units. Promote partnerships and positive relationships to advance the work of career services across the Georgia State University community. Develop and maintain relationships with employers. Organize career events (fairs, panels, networking) to connect students with employers. Create career services and counseling approaches for underrepresented student populations. Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and departments to identify and meet student career planning and search needs, including setting success goals and objectives. Analyze student success outcomes, maintain accurate records, and gather data for reporting while ensuring confidentiality. Oversee special programs, retention projects, and activities as assigned. Participate fully in overall career services activities. Perform other related duties as required. Minimum Hiring Qualifications Master’s degree and three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Hiring Qualifications Experience working with college students or career-seeking adults in a college or career services setting. Knowledge of career management systems. Dynamic presenter with strong communication skills. Ability to work with diverse populations.
