illumynt is also engaged in the business of wholesale distribution of technology equipment including computers, computer components and peripherals, networking and telecommunications hardware, and other electronic products. We obtain supply on consignment and through direct purchase from end users, large manufacturers (OEM’s), and distributors who find themselves with excess inventory. We re-sell those products to end users, other OEM’s, distributors, resellers, and brokers worldwide.

Position Summary:

The EHS Coordinator supports the 2553 Global Court, Columbus location by managing a dual function spanning Environmental Health and Safety compliance. On the EHS side, this role is responsible for maintaining compliance with R2v3, TAPA, and OSHA standards; coordinating safety training programs; overseeing the Universal Waste Area; and conducting routine safety inspections and recordkeeping. On the admin side, this role supports staffing agency coordination, and day-to-day administrative functions in partnership with illumynt’s remote HR team. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage recurring compliance and administrative responsibilities across both functions.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)

• Maintain and monitor R2v3 and TAPA compliance, including coordination of required training, documentation, and logs.
• Obtain and maintain OSHA certification for the handling of batteries; serve as the on-site point of accountability for hazardous material handling.
• Own and manage the Universal Waste Area (Batteries), ensuring proper storage, labeling, documentation, and disposal in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Plan, schedule, and facilitate monthly safety trainings for all site employees.
• Coordinate and participate in Safety Committee meetings; document meeting minutes and track action items to resolution.
• Conduct routine inspections of fire extinguishers, spill kits, and first aid kits; document findings and coordinate replenishment or servicing as needed.
• Perform Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) compliance checks and maintain associated documentation.
• Ensure all chemicals on-site are inventoried and that corresponding Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are current and accessible in the SDS binder.
• Track and report on EHS Objectives and Targets; maintain accurate compliance records and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.

Administration

• Conduct site tours for new hires on their first day, providing an overview of the facility, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
• Serve as the on-site liaison for staffing agency communications, coordinating placements, headcount changes, and agency-related administrative needs.
• Partner with illumynt’s remote HR team to support employee relations matters, policy questions, and HR initiatives as they arise.
• Maintain adequate stock of office supplies; monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as needed.
• Assist in scheduling team lunches and other employee engagement activities as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Supervisor

Candidate Requirements:

• 1+ year of experience in an administrative, safety, or operations support role; combination of experience across functions is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in HR, Environmental Health & Safety, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Willingness to obtain OSHA battery handling certification (training provided and paid for by illumynt).
• Familiarity with R2v3, TAPA, or OSHA compliance frameworks preferred; ability to learn compliance requirements through on-the-job training.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage recurring compliance tasks, deadlines, and documentation across multiple areas.
• Proficiency in information systems and standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; comfortable liaising with staffing agencies, remote HR teams, and site employees.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
