Senior Accountant

Please Note:This is a Utah-based hybrid position, which will require some regular in-office days each week. How You Will Support the Team: Responsible for accounting duties for an FDIC-insured industrial bank, ensuring accurate financialreporting. What We Are Looking For: Ensure accuracy of financial statements and public reporting in accordance with GAAP andSEC rules. Prepare general ledger entries, reconcile subledger files and perform payment transfersaccording to prescribed requirements. Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements while assisting in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Produce reports for management and the board of directors on the approved annualreporting schedule and as requested. Assist the Controller with financial decisions by monitoring accounting transactions andenforcing policies and procedures. Assist the Financial Reporting Manager with the preparation of public reports and supportschedules. Help achieve budget objectives by analyzing variances and recommending correctiveactions. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops,reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional organizations. Perform all other accounting duties as required. You would be a GREAT fit with these skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and hard working. Must be able to handle multiple functions simultaneouslyand operate in a high-pressure environment. Highly skilled with financial and numeric data. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general ledger software, preferably NetSuite. Demonstrated knowledge in key regulatory financial areas. Preferred Level of Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field required, master’s degree preferred. At least 5 years of financial accounting experience is required. 2-3 years of related banking or finance work is preferred.
