Principal Vulnerability Researcher with Security Clearance

Overview Nightwing advances cyber, data operations, systems integration, and intelligence mission support. As a vulnerability researcher you will discover and analyze zero‑day (O‑day) vulnerabilities, design new techniques, develop, test, and debug software applications, and contribute to overall vulnerability research efforts. Responsibilities Find and analyze zero‑day vulnerabilities using advanced systems. Design and identify programmatic behaviors relevant to vulnerability discovery. Develop, test, and debug software applications that support vulnerability research. Research data and propose new design ideas for vulnerability techniques. Apply debugging and fuzzing concepts within your work. Required Qualifications Engineering degree (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related) and minimum 10 years of practical experience in a technology‑related environment. Solid understanding of software development and proficiency in C, C++, or Python. Experience with program analysis, reverse engineering, and debugging tools (angr, BAP, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, gdb, Ghidra, windbg). Knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems. Knowledge of x86/x64 Assembly. Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph; U.S. citizenship required. Desired Skills Understanding of OS internals across major operating systems. Experience with exploit development, Hack The Box, or similar platforms. Proficiency in reading and writing assembly. Knowledge of network protocols and the ability to read/write socket code. Familiarity with exploit mitigations such as DEP and ASLR. Certifications Relevant cybersecurity certifications (optional): OSCP, OSC E, OSWP, OSEP, OSWE, OSED, OSEE, GPEN, GWAPT, GXPN, CISSP What We Offer The base salary ranges from $99,000 to $206,000 and is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and expertise.
