CORE: is currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced Line Cooks with fine dining cooking experience to join our Culinary Team
CORE: is an upscale private member only club and is comprised of a 110-seat restaurant, 60 seated terrace, 3 private dining rooms, a speak easy and event spaces. Our menu is Italian/Mediterranean driven, with a focus on offering well sourced, ethically farmed, fresh ingredients to create seasonally inspired menus prepared by our culinary team with Michelin Star experience. Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Line Cook with refined experience in pasta preparation to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Italian cuisine, a deep understanding of pasta techniques, and the ability to execute dishes with consistency, precision, and efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of fresh and dried pasta dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Prepare sauces from scratch, ensuring balance, flavor development, and proper consistency
- Manage station setup, organization, and cleanliness throughout service
- Coordinate timing with other stations to ensure seamless plate execution
- Monitor food quality, portioning, and presentation to meet restaurant standards
- Maintain knowledge of seasonal ingredients and adapt to menu changes as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist with prep work, inventory management, and minimizing waste
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a line cook, with a strong focus on pasta and Italian cuisine
- Strong understanding of classic and contemporary pasta techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Culinary school training preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Comfortable working in a high-temperature kitchen environment
