Patient Access RepresentativeLocation: Boston, MA- onsite full timeSchedule: Full-Time, Monday–FridayPay: $20–$23 per hourScheduleMonday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–4:45 PMFriday: 8:30 AM–5:15 PMWe are seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Patient Access Representative to join a busy healthcare team in Mattapan. This position may be assigned to either the patient registration/front desk area or the call center, depending on department needs.As a Patient Access Representative, you will be one of the first points of contact for patients and their families. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with patients both in person and over the phone and can provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.What You'll DoGreet and assist patients in a friendly and professional mannerRegister patients and ensure demographic, insurance, and billing information is accurateAnswer incoming calls and assist patients with questionsSchedule and manage patient appointmentsVerify insurance coverage and patient informationCollect copayments, deductibles, and self-pay balancesProvide receipts and accurately document paymentsMaintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirementsHelp ensure patients move through registration and clinical areas efficientlyProvide front desk, registration, or call center coverage as neededPerform general clerical and administrative dutiesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAt least 2 years of experience working in a healthcare settingPrevious patient registration, medical front desk, scheduling, or call center experience preferredStrong customer service and communication skillsComfortable working with computers and electronic practice management systemsAbility to multitask and remain professional in a busy environmentStrong attention to detail and accuracyThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people and wants to be part of a patient-focused healthcare team.Hire Partnership is an equal opportunity employer.
