Will work to provide a positive patient experience while obtaining the information necessary to facilitate patient care and billing processes. Essential functions include:Greet patients and families in a professional and welcoming mannerVerify insurance coverage and pre-authorization requirementsCollect and enter patient demographics and insurance information into electronic medical recordsEnsure accurate and complete collection of patient demographic and insurance informationObtain necessary signatures for consent and authorization formsResolve insurance and billing-related issuesMaintain a high level of customer service and work to resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional mannerAdhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelinesQualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on patient access and registration 2-3 years required. Knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling experience. Previous experience working in a high-volume call center and EPIC or other EMR.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification procedures. Strong customer service skills, including the ability to resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional manner. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
