This is an office-based position in Raritan, New Jersey.The Medical Director (MD), Medical Affairs, Bladder Cancer will serve as a clinical subject matter expert and will be responsible for providing medical and scientific leadership to a cross-functional team, reporting to the Therapeutic Head, Bladder Cancer, Oncology. This role is responsible and accountable for providing evidence-based, clinical and scientific expertise to internal and external partners, support cross-functional teams to identify medical barriers and opportunities across the bladder cancer portfolio and implement medical affairs tactics and initiatives. The successful candidate will lead the Evidence Generation Processes in collaboration with the therapeutic area team and in direct communication with the global organization.Key Responsibilities:Provide Bladder Cancer subject matter expertise and represent US medical affairs on internal stakeholder/ project teams across key functional areas within the US GU Oncology businessDevelop scientific narrative, core asset themes, FaQ, Scientific platform, MSL material, Medical Communications and Scientific Exchange, Training and Development. Lead KOL engagement to gather insights to build the bladder cancer scientific narrative and material and develop strong KOL collaborations to ensure appropriate feedback is received on our program and strategy.Represent medical affairs in advisory boards, lead data presentation and facilitate discussions to solicit feedback to inform the bladder medical strategy. Establish and foster relations with medical societies and patient advocacy organizations. Qualifications:A PhD, PharmD or MD is requiredA background in Oncology and Bladder cancer is strongly preferred.A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent experience is preferredExperience developing and executing medical launch strategies is preferredExperience developing congress strategies and prioritized KOL engagement is preferredExperience in pharmaceutical trial design and conduct (Phases II-IV) within the pharmaceutical industry, CRO or academia is preferred.Experience in leading medical education, medical communication is requiredExcellent written, oral and presentation skills are requiredProven track record of developing, presenting and publishing clinical studies is preferredStrong organizational skills are a mustA demonstrated ability to work in a matrix type environment with interaction with cross-functional teams is preferred.This position requires up to 25% annual travel (domestic and international).The anticipated base pay range for this position is $160,000 - $270,000 AnnualThe Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
