Job Description

Johnson Service Group is seeking an Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience and familiarity with Oracle to support high-volume accounting operations for our client in Los Angeles.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:30 PM, with alternating Fridays off. Hybrid (Mondays & Tuesdays onsite)
Responsibilities:

Prepare journal entries, cost transfers, and other accounting transactions.
Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies between subsidiary systems and the general ledger.
Research transactions, analyze accounting data, and resolve or recommend solutions to discrepancies.
Prepare month-end journals, reconciliations, supporting documentation, financial schedules, and reports, including ACFR.
Process accounts receivable transactions, invoices, receipts, payment requests, and outstanding balances.
Maintain accurate financial records, subsidiary ledgers, and supporting documentation.
Process Delta Conveyance Authority invoice payments and coordinate with external auditors.
Monitor equipment purchase transactions and maintain operating equipment subsidiary ledgers.
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and gathering supporting documentation.
Respond to accounting inquiries and coordinate with other departments to resolve transaction-processing issues.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
Familiarity with Oracle or similar enterprise accounting software.
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and applicable regulations.
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage high-volume workloads with accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office technology.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, exercise independent judgment, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Contract $45.37-54.05/hr,
