Responsibilities
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Licensure:
State licensure as an SLP; certification as a school-based SLP may be required
Certifications:
Experience delivering SLP services in school settings; knowledge of IEP processes and school accommodations
Experience
School environment with classroom integration; regular daytime hours aligned with school calendars
Interdisciplinary collaboration with teachers and school staff; documentation in the school information system

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - School
Position Overview
The School Speech-Language Pathologist provides assessment and intervention for students with speech, language, and swallow disorders within an educational setting.
They collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to support communication and learning goals.
Responsibilities
- Screen and evaluate students' speech, language, and feeding needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy and consult with teachers on classroom strategies
- Document progress and communicate with families and school staff
- Support inclusion and accommodations for communication disorders
- Coordinate with audiology and special education teams as needed
- Educate families about home practice and progress
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Licensure:
State licensure as an SLP; certification as a school-based SLP may be required
Certifications:
- CCC-SLP preferred
- BLS
Experience delivering SLP services in school settings; knowledge of IEP processes and school accommodations
Experience
- Experience working in school-based settings
- Experience collaborating with educators and families
- Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
- Multilingual abilities
