Job Summary: Lab Technician (Night Shift) - Sparks, MD
About the RoleJoin a dynamic team as a Lab Technician supporting the manufacturing and assembly of clinical and commercial products. This hands-on contractor position offers a competitive hourly wage and a shift premium for night work. You'll play a critical role in preparing materials, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring strict compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities - Clean and maintain lab supplies, glassware, and workspaces to GMP standards
- Build panels and dispense bottles accurately and efficiently
- Operate glass washers, dryers, and autoclaves for sterilization
- Create label files using established templates
- Assist in removal and proper disposal of waste chemicals
- Prepare solutions, powders, and liquids for batch production
- Support on-boarding and provide training for new procedures
- Diligently follow all BD safety and housekeeping policies
- Work overtime as required to meet production needs
- Complete additional assigned duties to support the team
Required Skills and Experience - High school diploma with technical lab certification and 1+ year lab experience, AS or BS degree in a scientific discipline with 1+ year lab experience
- Proficient in English; able to read, write, and analyze charts and diagrams
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
Preferred Skills - Additional laboratory certifications
- Advanced knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Experience with chemical waste disposal and safety compliance
