Twin City Staffing is hiring a welder for a top manufacturing facility in Coon Rapids, MN! In this role, you will set up welding jobs, interpret blueprints, operate welding equipment, inspect finished welds, and maneuver heavy materials using hoists and pallet jacks. (Depending on experience and shift) Hours:

1. 1st Shift: 5:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Thursday
2. 2nd Shift: 3:30 pm – 2:00 am, Monday – Thursday
3. Weekend Shift: 5:00 am – 5:30 pm, Friday – Sunday

Duties of the welder:

• Set up welding jobs, verify piece counts, and perform precision welds according to engineering blueprints
• Operate welding machinery safely while inspecting finished components against print specifications
• Utilize overhead hoists and manual pallet jacks to transport materials and stage weld assemblies
• Maintain accurate job logs, track production paperwork, and report equipment maintenance needs

Requirements of the welder:

• Hands-on welding experience or formal trade school certification in MIG, TIG, or structural welding
• Ability to read complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and accurately use a tape measure
• Physical ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the shift
• Requirement to wear steel-toed safety boots on the shop floor
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and national background check
