We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing team in North Fort Worth, Texas on a Contract basis with the potential to convert permanently. This position is ideal for a degreed accountant who is comfortable managing core financial activities, supporting account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate records across the general ledger. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to day-to-day accounting operations while helping ensure compliance and reporting accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to support timely and accurate month-end and ongoing accounting activity.

• Maintain the general ledger by reviewing account activity, reconciling balances, and resolving discrepancies as they arise.

• Support corporate tax processes, including assisting with tax filings and related documentation.

• Handle sales tax reporting tasks and help ensure filings are completed correctly and on schedule.

• Assist with the preparation of corporate tax returns by organizing financial data and validating supporting details.

• Review financial information for accuracy and completeness to help maintain strong internal accounting records.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather accounting information and respond to routine financial questions.

• Experience working in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role.
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
• Familiarity with corporate tax responsibilities, including exposure to tax return support.
• Understanding of sales tax processes and related compliance activities.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage financial data accurately.
• Proficiency in standard accounting systems and spreadsheet tools.
• Ability to organize priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.
