Senior Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry

Senior Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry role at Nurix Therapeutics focused on designing novel compounds and advancing drug discovery programs from hit optimization through development candidate nomination. Responsibilities

• Design novel chemical entities applying structure-based drug design to optimize potency, selectivity, ADME/PK, and in vivo efficacy
• Develop and interpret SAR by integrating chemical, structural, computational, and pharmacological data to advance projects
• Lead chemistry workstreams within multidisciplinary teams and manage priorities with external collaborators
• Provide scientific mentorship, coaching, and guidance to other scientists on the team
• Contribute to intellectual property, patent preparation, and scientific publications representing assigned projects

Requirements

• BS or MS with 14+ years relevant experience, or PhD with 8+ years experience
• Strong expertise in medicinal chemistry and synthetic organic chemistry with demonstrated SAR and structure-based design capabilities
• Ability to integrate potency, selectivity, ADME/PK, and pharmacology data to guide compound design
• Scientific creativity and track record advancing chemical series or development candidates
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and multidisciplinary team collaboration skills
• Experience providing scientific mentorship and guidance to other scientists
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences

Compensation: $147,500-$157,500
