Customer Service Representative

Compensation Range: $12.77 to $13.50 Hourly. Location: 5801 Southpoint Centre Blvd, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22407, United States of America. U-Haul is seeking friendly, motivated individuals for the position of Customer Service Representative. In this role you will be the face of the company’s service, helping customers with rentals, inspecting equipment, and ensuring a smooth experience throughout their journey. Responsibilities Assist customers inside and outside U-Haul centers with products and services. Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory. Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers. Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, checking fluid levels. Answer questions and educate customers about products and services. Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rentals. Install hitches and trailer wiring. Fill propane tanks (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment). Operate a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment). Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University. Minimum Qualifications Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record. High school diploma or equivalent. Work Environment The work involves moderate risks and discomforts that require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts or machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. Protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required. Physical Demands This position requires physical exertion, including long periods of standing or moving indoors and outdoors, reaching objects at varying heights, and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 pounds, either assisted or unassisted.
