Senior Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Attorney specializing in Family and Matrimonial Law for their Rochester, NY office. This role offers a leadership track with a clear pathway to Non-Equity Partner, supported by mentorship and structured caseloads. Duties Lead and manage divorce, custody, support, and Family Court matters. Serve as lead counsel in hearings, conferences, negotiations, and trials. Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with attorneys and paralegals. Draft motions, pleadings, financial documents, and settlement agreements. Mentor and guide junior attorneys and law clerks. Maintain exceptional client communication and professionalism. Work with Client Consultation Managers for efficient case onboarding. Requirements J.D., admitted to practice in New York (or eligible under OCA reciprocity). 5+ years of litigation experience; family or matrimonial law experience preferred. Proven courtroom presence and ability to manage complex, high-conflict cases. Strong communication, leadership, and client-management skills. Commitment to a high standard of professionalism and client service. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.)
