In the role as medical assistant you manage and care for clients; recognize and attend to their needs. Recognize ethical and legal responsibilities. Perform a variety of clinical procedures and a variety of administrative duties.  Responsibilities:Fingerprint Technician:Greet applicants, manager appointments and guide clients through the enrollment process with patience and professionalism.Maintain strict confidentiality regarding applicant background checks, data records, and PII (Personally Identifiable Information) in alignment with privacy laws and regulations.Inspect legal and government-issued identification documents (driver's licenses, passports) to confirm applicant identity.Provide fingerprint-based background checks for employment, licensing, and other security purposes.Accurately enter demographic and tracking data into secure processing systems, confirm scheduling queues, and manage daily client flow.Operate specialized Live Scan digital fingerprinting equipment and capture clear images meeting strict quality standards.Perform secure data entry, manage paperwork, and safeguard confidential client and patient personal information.Perform basic troubleshooting and upkeep of the area and the equipment.Medical Assistant:Provide information, services, and assistance to clients and patients at PRIME on-site events and various PRIME Clinics.Maintains medical supplies inventory and performs preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating, including sterilization of medical instruments.Verifies patient information, medical histories by interviewing patients, documenting medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; drug & alcohol screening, audiograms, EKG's, pulmonary function test, respirator fit test; and reporting patient history summary.Saves doctors' time by helping with office procedures.Assist in injury carePerform phlebotomy service and give injections.Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; and keeping patient information confidential.Updating and filing medical records according to State and Federal laws. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Take and record messagesMust have the ability to take on call on a rotating basis and provide services to surrounding PRIME locations and on-site.May be required to work overtime, weekends and holidaysMust have dependable transportationOther duties as assignedQualifications/Skills: ProfessionalismConfidentialityAbility to stand or sit for extended periodsExcellence communication skillsMaintaining client and staff confidentialityMust be able to pass a DISA Drug Screen and Background checkReliabilityPatients and compassionPunctualityStress ManagementTeamworkWorking independentlyWorking quickly and accuratelyEducation, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:Must be a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or equivalent.Must be able to pass the IDEMIA background check requirements such as Federal and State background checks.High school diploma or equivalent2+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant requiredPhysical Demands: Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time, lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds. Repetitive motion. Extensive use of computers, copy machines and keyboards. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Work is performed in a medical clinic setting and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances, climb stairs and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.Mental Requirements: Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with employees and visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
