Insight Global is seeking Fiber & Copper Installation Technicians to join one of the fastest-growing companies in the data center industry. This organization is known for delivering high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget. We are looking for motivated, adaptable technicians with hands-on experience installing both fiber optic and copper cabling systems in commercial construction environments.

Compensation:

• Tech I (1-3 years of experience): $20.00-$23.00/hr
• Tech II (3-5 years of experience): $25.00-$28.00/hr
• Tech III (6+ years of experience): $30.00-$35.00/hr
• Overtime: Paid at 1.5x the hourly rate

 

Schedule:

• Typical schedule is 5x10s , averaging 50 hours per week
• Shift times generally run 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

 

Estimated Weekly Earnings (with 10 hours of OT):

• Tech I: ~$1,100-$1,265/week gross
• Tech II: ~$1,375-$1,540/week gross
• Tech III: ~$1,650-$1,925/week gross

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience installing both fiber optic and copper cabling systems in commercial construction environments
• Experience working in data centers, telecommunications, structured cabling, or low-voltage construction environments
• Willingness to travel for future projects (50%+ travel may be required)
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong work ethic with a proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented attitude

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Advanced Installation & Pathways
• Build and dress racks, cabinets, ladder tray, and cable management systems.
• Execute complex cable routing
• Perform advanced fiber installation including prepping, cleaning, cleaving.
• Perform copper terminations with consistent, certifiable results.
• Fusion splice fiber and conduct OTDR and light-loss testing.
• Analyze test failures and perform troubleshooting until resolved.
• Produce complete certification reports and documentation.
