Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

East Windsor Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant at the high school (Sept-Nov) and elementary level (PK-4). Primary responsibilities include: providing IEP services, IEP progress reporting, and presenting at PPT meetings. The position is located initially at East Windsor High School, then for the rest of the school year at Broad Brook Elementary School and is part of a well-staffed related services and special education department. The ideal candidate will be able to work under the supervision of two Speech Pathologists, meet mandated timelines and work collaboratively within a team to support student success.

Qualifications: BA in Communications Disorders Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles. Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans. Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students. Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed. Ability to organize and coordinate work. Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents. Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

Work Environment: Often work indoors, moving between classrooms and other school areas May work outdoors during physical education and recess.
