SAP Budget Systems Analyst

Job Summary:

The SAP Budget Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise budgeting solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC P) and SAP S/4HANA. This role supports the organization's transition from legacy SAP platforms to modern integrated financial planning systems, ensuring stability, scalability, and future readiness. The analyst collaborates with Finance, IT, and operational teams to optimize budget workflows, maintain master data integrity, and deliver comprehensive financial analytics and reporting. Responsibilities:

• Administer SAP systems including SAC P, managing user provisioning, security roles, data actions, version control, and scheduling planning processes.
• Support interconnected systems such as SAP Datasphere, S/4HANA, and Analytics Cloud Reports.
• Partner with Master Data teams to identify and resolve data quality issues, maintaining alignment of hierarchies, attributes, and structural elements.
• Design, maintain, and optimize planning structures, including dimensions, hierarchies, data models, and allocation logic within SAC P.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data models for budgeting, forecasting, cost allocations, project planning, and financial analytics.
• Ensure structural alignment between SAC P models and underlying data sources (e.g., S/4HANA, Workday) to support integrated planning.
• Develop and maintain documentation for budgeting system processes, data flows, planning models, integration points, and system configurations.
• Assist Finance and operational teams in creating, enhancing, and maintaining reports and dashboards in SAC, S/4HANA, and Excel.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues, validate data accuracy, and ensure alignment between planning outputs and financial reporting structures.
• Support development of new analytics capabilities using SAC stories, analytic applications, and Excel-based reporting tools.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Strong expertise in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC P), including model design, data actions, allocations, and planning workflows.
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA modules, particularly FI, CO, MM, and PS.
• Experience designing and maintaining master data structures, hierarchies, and attributes across SAP platforms.
• System administration skills including user roles, security, transports, and environment management.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining financial reports, dashboards, and analytics within SAC.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and SAP data integration.
• Excellent documentation skills for process mapping, procedures, and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to data accuracy and process integrity.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with Finance, IT, and operational stakeholders.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in SAP environments, including at least 3 years with hands-on SAC-P experience.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC, SAP BW, and SAP BW IP including data modeling, InfoProviders, and planning functions.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, especially in Finance, Controlling, Material Master, or Project Systems modules.

• Must ensure continuity of critical financial processes and master data during system migration.
