Senior Benefits Specialist (JOB ID 2068)

OneSparQ is looking for a Sr. Benefits Specialist for a large financial services company located in Cleveland, OH.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in benefits administration
• Strong understanding of medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability plans
• Experience supporting benefits enrollment, life event changes, terminations, and employee benefits questions
• Experience working within HRIS or benefits administration systems
• Bachelor’s Degree

Additional Skills:

• Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
• Experience in financial services, mortgage, banking, or another highly regulated corporate environment
• Familiarity with open enrollment support and benefits compliance processes

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, responding to inquiries related to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans
• Manage the benefits team inbox and provide timely, accurate, and professional support to employees
• Support day-to-day benefits administration, including new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, coverage changes, and terminations
• Maintain accurate benefits data in HRIS and benefits systems, ensuring updates are completed correctly and on time
• Conduct new hire benefits orientations and help employees understand plan options, enrollment steps, deadlines, and available resources
• Perform monthly benefits invoice reconciliation, reviewing carrier invoices for accuracy and partnering with payroll, vendors, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies
• Coordinate with benefits vendors and carriers to troubleshoot employee issues, resolve coverage questions, and escalate complex matters when needed
• Support ongoing benefits process improvements to enhance employee experience, data accuracy, and operational efficiency
• Assist with open enrollment, employee communications, reporting, and other benefits-related projects as needed
