OR Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Schedule
- Shift: 3x12 day shifts; possible start times either 06:45-19:15 or 09:00-21:30
- Weekends: Required

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks

Requirements
- License: AK RN license required
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
- Experience: Minimum 2 years experience required
- EMR: Epic charting experience required
- Skills: Scrub/assist experience in general, laparoscopic, orthopedic/spine, neurology, vascular, trauma, gynecology, urology, ENT, ophthalmic, pediatrics; specimen handling; blood product administration; sterile technique; universal protocol

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room setting.
- Assist with surgical procedures and ensure proper patient positioning and safety.
- Maintain sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgeries, reporting any concerning changes.
- Document care in appropriate electronic medical records accurately and timely.

Compliance / Notes
- Travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year on assignment. A minimum 6-month break is required after this period.
- Permanent staff must be separated from the partner facility for at least 3 months to return as a traveler.
- Must be willing to work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
- Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
