Summary : The Industrial Fabricator, reporting to the Warehouse and Production Manager, is directly responsible for building pumps specific to customer needs. Will need to create sketched drawings or work from drawings to build the process equipment. Knowledge of basic electrical and MIG welding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive new pump orders, determine building needs, list components, pull parts from stock, build equipment, test for effectiveness and document as required.
• Create or interpret Design Sketches to finish product.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.
• Weld riser blocks and other simple components to skids.
• Use computer to look up Customers, research parts, diagram, schematic, and manuals online.
• Help maintain a clean and safe shop.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills/Experience

Required:

• Outstanding, demonstrable mechanical aptitude.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Electrical motor experience.
• Ability to work independently and part of a small team.
• Welding knowledge specifically with MIG.
• Knowledge of metal working and metal fabrication.
• Proven ability to successfully troubleshoot.
• Ability to pass Mechanical Aptitude test.
• Valid driver’s license with a record that allows you to be covered by company insurance for occasional parts runs or travel to customer sites. 
• At least 3 years of fabrication experience.

Preferred:

• Industrial pumping systems.
• Experience with Machine tools (lathe, brake press).
• Experience working at Customer sites.
• Hydraulic equipment maintenance or repair experience.
• Associates degree or trade school certificate in related field.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. 
• Ability to stand or walk most of the day.
• Ability to twist and turn frequently.
• Stoop and bend frequently. 
• Ability to reach above shoulders occasionally. 
• Repetitive hand and wrist movements frequently. 
• Forearm rotation frequently. 

Work is performed in a shop and warehouse environment with exposure to welding fumes, noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. Required personal protective equipment includes safety glasses, welding helmet and appropriate welding PPE, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe footwear.
