Certified Nursing AssistantThe Certified Nursing Assistant position performs nursing assistant functions for neonatal through geriatric patient populations in the hospital setting. This is done in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, oral care, feeding, toileting, ambulation, and repositioning as needed. Administer ice packs, heat treatments, and other treatments under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Perform accurate intake and output measurements, daily weights, vital signs, fingerstick blood glucose testing, specimen collection, and postmortem care. Promptly answer call lights and patient requests. Consistently follow Infection Control Practices while providing patient care and maintaining cleanliness. Report any changes in patients' conditions to the Registered Nurse. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, coworkers, and guests. Comply with organizational and regulatory policies regarding the handling of confidential patient information.
