Neuro-Ophthalmologist (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor)

Department Overview Oregon Health & Science University, the Casey Eye Institute’s Department of Ophthalmology, is seeking a full‑time Neuro-Ophthalmologist for its main campus in Portland, Oregon. Candidates must be board‑certified or board‑eligible, with Oregon state medical licensure required. The department hosts 69 ophthalmologists, 12 optometrists, and multiple basic science faculty, offering comprehensive subspecialty care in glaucoma, cornea, retina, oculoplastics, pediatric ophthalmology, ophthalmic pathology, oncology, uveitis & ocular immunology, low vision rehabilitation, and ophthalmic genetics. Training programs include 15 ophthalmology residents and 11 clinical fellows, and research initiatives in optical coherence tomography, biomedical informatics, and basic science. Position Highlights Full‑time academic appointment at OHSU Busy clinical practice with an established referral base Opportunities for teaching and academic engagement Collaborative environment in a respected academic medical center Function / Duties Providing clinical care to Neuro-Ophthalmology patients at University Hospital and affiliated sites; engaging in public service through consultative activities with non‑university groups as approved by the Department Chair; staffing residents who see Neuro‑Ophthalmology patients; teaching residents and house staff about neuro‑ophthalmology diseases and issues; performing research relevant to neuro‑ophthalmology medicine.
