Summary Description

The Engineering Procurement Assistant supports the Engineering Department in Purchasing by providing clerical and fiscal services, records in multi-divisional databases and files in short-term and long-term storage. Maintain purchase orders and recordkeeping of all projects and must communicate via face-to-face, telephone, and email with vendors, project managers, GM and employees throughout SA Recycling facilities.

Job Duties

• Some knowledge and experience in Dynamics is preferred but training is available, for data entry, purchase entries, recordkeeping and research of all purchases throughout the company.
• Works independently when using MS Excel, Word and Outlook. Basic knowledge of MS Office.
• Telephone etiquette that includes note taking, messages, schedule return calls, forward calls and any other task related to communication.
• Interface with company vendors via face-to-face, phone and email for quotes on parts and services and all purchased support, i.e. tracking of purchases, receiving, packing slips and invoices.
• Follow up with vendors on back orders
• Managing of purchase audits
• Maintain purchase records, pdf all documents related to the PO and attach to the PO
• Assist Accounting Department with purchase invoices
• Assist in budget tracking
• Administrative support to the Roving Welding department and maintain supplies, i.e. welding supplies, safety supplies, equipment maintenance and rentals
• Good driving record. Need to drive company vehicle to pick up supplies and travel from yard to yard to drop off parts
• Bilingual, English/Spanish, but not mandatory.

Work Environment: Office Equipment & Tools: Personal computer, multi-line phone, Laser printer Physical Demand Level: Light to Moderate Work Capacity: Lifting & carrying 35lb loads, bending, kneeling, and sitting for long periods. Sensory Demands: Hearing, vision, touch, and taste Hand Movements: Repetitive motions, gripping, keyboard alignment

Pay Range: Starting $18.47 or more depending on experience.
