Certifications:
- BLS
- Clinical Dietician
- An active State of HI license must
- Types of procedures required: Correct menus and make menu changes for kitchen staff, serve as a resource for food service management and kitchen staff in regards to clarification of diets/nutrition support and patient satisfaction, review patient assessment requests, Interview patients and perform nutrition assessments, make nutrition recommendations as needed, follow up with physician consults, nutrition education, participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and/or ICU rounds, collaborate with all food service and medical staff to provide optimal patient care
- Required skills and minimum years of experience.
- Skills Required - Nutrition Assessment for pediatric to geriatric patients, Medical Nutrition Therapy for acute care, long term care, and critical care, Ability to estimate nutrition needs such as caloric, protein, and fluid needs, Nutrition Support (Parenteral/Enteral Nutrition), Nutrition Education, Food Service Management, Ability to chart in electronic medical records, ability to develop and update nutrition care plans, Minimum Data Sets
- Minimum 1 year experience of clinical nutrition experience
- Licensures and certifications/registrations required: Registered Dietician by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Shift or schedule requirements : 5-8 hour shifts (40 hours), No guarantee of hours or shift preference.
- Dietitian needs to work five days a week and this includes weekends. Weekends are required. Shift is 7am to 3:30pm. The employee may be required to work alone but not on a routine basis. The employee will probably be off on Tuesday and Wednesday
