Job Description

NEEDED: PHYSICIAN

LOCATION: 601 McDonough Blvd SE, Atlanta, GA 30317

SCHEDULE: Eight (8) hour sessions per day, 5 days per week, excluding federal holidays, 7:30 am- 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, shall not normally exceed 40 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS

\n
• Must be certified to practice medicine in any state in the United States or territory.
\n
• Must have at least three or more years of experience.
\n
• Background clearance packets submitted by potential contractor employees shall be accompanied by a certified or photo static copy of their current license.
\n
• Must be Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified, in accordance with the American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
\n

JOB DESCRIPTION

\n
• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services 
\n
• Take medical history, examine patients, order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays.
\n
• Make a diagnosis, provide treatment plans and prescribe medications
\n
• Clinically manage injuries by suturing, splinting, and immobilizing
\n
• Attend to medical emergencies
\n
• Record progress notes, recommend clinically necessary outside consultation, instruct and counsel, and order or carry out therapy
\n
• Emergency consultation to be performed by the contractor in instances deemed necessary. 
\n
• Perform minor surgery utilizing local anesthesia during consultation visits.
\n
• Work collaboratively with other health professionals in planning, instituting, evaluating and revising program plans
\n
• Assists in determining conditions, resources and policies essential to delivery of health care services.
\n
• Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems.
\n
• Manages the daily operation of the clinic and conducts daily sick call; which may include securing health histories from the patient, recording findings and providing clinical evaluations.
\n
• Provides a wide range of emergency services.
