Jon & Vinny’s is a fast-paced, high-volume, all-day restaurant serving several Los Angeles communities 7 days a week. What you’ll do:

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment by efficiently cleaning dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. This role ensures that all dishware and kitchen tools are ready for service while supporting overall kitchen operations. The Dishwasher is also responsible for assisting with sanitation, restocking, and maintaining compliance with HACCP and food safety protocols.

This position reports to the CDC or Sous Chefs and requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities include: 

• Arrive and leave on time; clock in and out accurately for shifts and breaks in accordance with schedule and at the direction of CDC and Sous Chefs.
• Dress appropriately and maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times.
• Set up and break down the dish station at the start and end of each shift.
• Properly operate dishwashing machines, equipment, and tools according to standard procedures.
• Understand and safely use cleaning chemicals, following manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
• Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly.
• Restock clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in their designated storage areas.
• Collect dirty pans, trays, and equipment from line and prep stations throughout service.
• Take out trash and recycling as needed, ensuring proper disposal.
• Assist in cleaning and stocking restrooms as needed.
• Support the kitchen in maintaining HACCP and sanitation protocols at all times.
• Assist with deep cleaning tasks and scheduled cleaning rotations as assigned.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and surrounding spaces.
• Communicate proactively with CDC or Sous Chefs regarding any equipment issues, shortages, or safety concerns.
• Demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude and support fellow kitchen staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Maintain an up-to-date CA Food Handler’s Card certification and Anti-Harassment Certificate.
