Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time College Campus Patrol in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus stakeholders while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, and report security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to supervisors and campus contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Hold CPR and First Aid certification, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
