As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support students, staff, and visitors through professional communication and exceptional customer service while reporting security-related concerns. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.35 - $21.35 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, maintaining awareness of activity throughout the assigned location.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
