Position: Security Officer Flex Corporate Patrol – New York, NY Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour Schedule: Saturday 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM (fixed shift) Role Overview This role provides a flexible, dependable part‑time option for individuals looking to supplement income or gain experience toward a full‑time career with Allied Universal® . How This Role Works Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time one week and full‑time the next – it’s all up to you. Responsibilities Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real‑estate location. Respond to incidents, property concerns, and critical situations calmly, document observations, and report issues through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions that may require attention. Monitor access points, observe lobby and exterior activity, and assist with visitor and contractor interactions in support of established property protocols. Support Allied Universal team goals by communicating clearly with property management and local responders when needed and following post orders for assigned duties. Minimum Requirements Possess a New York State Security Guard License. Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Background investigation required as condition of employment per federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
