What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care to patients in the PCU, managing conditions such as CVA, TIA, and post-COVID recovery
• Administer medications, including drip titrations (Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Insulin)
• Manage IV therapies, including CVL placement, foley catheters, tube feedings via NGT or PEG, and arterial lines
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs and neurologic status (NIHSS)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including hospitalists, RTs, PT, and OT
• Maintain accurate charting using Meditech Expanse EMR and appropriate equipment
• Support unit functions, float as necessary to Med-Surg units, and uphold patient care standards

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting
• Proficiency in CVL management, drip titration, and NIHSS assessment
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam upon onboarding
• Strong clinical skills, professionalism, and ability to work as part of a team
