• Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU/PCU RN experience in acute care; previous med-surg or stepdown experience preferred

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care for a 6-bed PCU unit, managing complex cases such as CVA, TIA, and COVID-19 patients
• Triage and monitor patient vital signs, including arterial lines and CVL management
• Administer medications, including drips like Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin, with drip titration experience required
• Support patient assessments and assist with tube feedings, Foley catheter management, and diabetes care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including hospitalists, RT, PT, and ST staff to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Follow all safety and infection control protocols, including PPE usage and pass an EKG competency exam prior to starting
• Float to similar units (Med-surg, stepdown) as needed, maintaining professionalism and flexibility

What You Need
Required:

• Active RN license in Louisiana or valid state license
• Min. 2 years of recent ICU or stepdown RN experience in acute care settings
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications (current)
• Experience with CVL management, arterial lines, medication drip titration, and tube feeding
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam prior to onboarding

Preferred:

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR
• Strong clinical skills in CVA, TIA, and COVID patient management
• Ability to work night shifts consistently and adapt to unit float requirements
