Residential Manager

Purpose To provide support, assistance, and supervision to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to enable them to live valued lives in the community by creating a positive home environment. Qualifications Must successfully complete required pre‑employment background and drug screenings. Must possess a valid driver’s license with all necessary endorsements and have a minimum of three years of driving experience. Must possess basic computer skills. Must possess a high‑school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of experience working in the human services field preferred. At least one year of supervisory experience preferred. Essential Functions Identify and report any suspected abuse or violations of an individual’s rights. Ensure the health, safety, and well‑being of the individuals are protected at all times. Supervise and maintain a positive team of well‑trained employees who provide support, direction, and oversight of interactions with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Provide training and constructive feedback to employees through positive interactions, role modeling, and mentoring. Ensure implementation of therapy, training, and behavior programs and required data collection for individuals’ plans and regulatory agencies. Ensure the home offers choice and creative activities within a positive, innovative, person‑directed environment. Monitor for ongoing compliance with agency directives, licensing standards, and policies and procedures. Ensure all homes, outside areas, and vehicles are well maintained and organized. Proficiency in the English language (both written and verbal) is required for direct care of adults and children receiving services; employees must communicate effectively in English, including medical terminology. Perform all other duties as assigned. Direct support staff are mandated reporters and must report any instances of abuse, neglect, or exploitation that they are involved in or witness.
