Security Analyst

Our client, a government agency in the public sector, is seeking a Security Analyst to join their team. As a Security Analyst, you will be part of the cybersecurity support team supporting the Wisconsin Department of Correction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive communication, and a commitment to security excellence, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Security Analyst Location: Madison, WI Pay Range: What's the Job? Detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats across various platforms and environments. Participate in forensic investigations and contribute to vulnerability management efforts. Support cloud security initiatives and assist with tabletop exercises to enhance security posture. Develop and maintain security response procedures and incident reports. Collaborate with team members to improve security controls and operational efficiency. What's Needed? At least 1 year of experience working with vulnerability management practices, technologies, and tools. Proficiency in triaging and analyzing cybersecurity alerts using enterprise technologies and tools. Familiarity with phishing mitigation strategies and email threat analysis. Experience with incident response forensics and remediation, including tools like Crowdstrike, Sandbox evaluation, and malicious website identification. Strong technical writing skills for incident reports and security documentation. What's in it for me?
