Trauma RegistrarUnder direct supervision of the trauma program manager, the trauma registrar abstracts medical information from records and enters clinical data in the state registry data-base.ResponsibilitiesEntry of clinical data of abstracted charts of trauma patients in the state registry in a timely manner per trauma guidelines.Abstraction of clinical data from charts of trauma patients when needed.Actively participates in ongoing preparation for any/all state agencies, as well as the ACS, site visits.Collaborates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team to promote the goals and objectives of the trauma department.Maintains active participation in the Trauma Multi-Disciplinary Committee and the performance improvement process.Collaborates with the trauma program manager and other hospital staff in maintaining updates policies and procedures related to trauma-under the trauma program manager's direction.QualificationsEducation (experience can be substituted for education)High School Diploma RequiredWork Experience (education can be substituted for experience)Up to 1 year PreferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesBasic awareness of problem solving and decision making skills.Basic awareness of digital literacy skills.
