Senior ServiceNow Technical / Functional Consultant (Only W2)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Technical / Functional Consultant with strong experience across ServiceNow implementation, configuration, development, business process consulting, integrations, and AI-powered capabilities. The ideal candidate should be able to work with business stakeholders as well as technical teams and have experience with one or more ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, SPM, or CSM.

The role may involve traditional ServiceNow development as well as Now Assist, Generative AI, AI Search, Virtual Agent, and AI-driven workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities

Gather business requirements and translate them into ServiceNow functional and technical solutions.

Design, configure, develop, and implement ServiceNow applications and business processes.

Work across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, SPM, and CSM.

Develop and configure Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.

Develop solutions using JavaScript, UI Builder, Employee Center, Service Portal, and Workspaces.

Build and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Server.

Support ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management.

Support ITOM capabilities including Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, and Event Management.

Implement HRSD solutions including HR Case Management and Employee Center.

Support SecOps capabilities including Security Incident Response and Vulnerability Response.

Support SPM capabilities including Project/Portfolio Management, Demand Management, Resource Management, and Strategic Planning.

Design and implement Now Assist, Generative AI, AI Search, Virtual Agent, AI Agent Studio, and AI Agent Orchestrator solutions where applicable.

Develop AI use cases such as incident/case summarization, knowledge article generation, chat assistance, resolution recommendations, and agent productivity enhancements.

Design AI-assisted workflows and support Agentic AI use cases.

Assist with prompt design, testing, validation, governance, and AI adoption.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and project teams.

Support testing, deployment, troubleshooting, upgrades, and production support.

Follow ServiceNow development standards, security practices, governance, and implementation best practices.

Mandatory Skills

Strong ServiceNow Technical and/or Functional Consulting experience.

Experience with at least one major ServiceNow module: ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, SPM, or CSM.

ServiceNow configuration and development experience.

JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes.

Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.

REST/SOAP APIs and ServiceNow integrations.

Experience with ServiceNow workflows and business process automation.

Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills.

Certification Requirements

For Senior Technical Consultant / Now Assist roles:

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) Mandatory

2 active CIS certifications Mandatory

For HRSD Technical Consultant roles:

Active CIS-HRSD Mandatory

For SecOps Technical Consultant roles:

Active CIS-SecOps Mandatory

For SPM Technical Consultant roles:

CSA + active CIS certification Mandatory

Additional relevant certifications such as CAD, CIS-ITSM, CIS-CSM, CIS-ITOM, CIS-Data Foundations, ServiceNow AI Foundations, Now Assist Accreditations, Agentic AI, and AI Control Tower are preferred.

Experience

3+ years of ServiceNow experience; 5+ years preferred for senior positions.

Hands-on experience with ServiceNow implementation, configuration, development, or functional consulting.

1+ year of hands-on Now Assist / Generative AI experience for AI-focused positions.

Experience working directly with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Experience with ServiceNow integrations, workflow automation, testing, and production support.
