Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 3x12.0 hours.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, ensuring a high standard of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Identify teaching needs and establish goals related to the diagnosis of each patient.
• Provide timely updates on patient information and status for team conferences.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and ensure direct patient care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to the functioning of the unit and support team-building activities.
• Identify and initiate personal professional growth opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid RN license.
• BLS certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (if applicable).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.
