Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: East Syracuse, NY

Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Radiation Therapist to join a professional healthcare team. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering prescribed radiation treatments safely and accurately while providing compassionate patient care. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to excellence in oncology services.

Responsibilities:

Operate linear accelerator, simulator, and related imaging equipment as directed by physicians.
Deliver radiation treatments according to prescribed treatment plans and established protocols.
Position patients accurately to ensure high-quality treatment planning and delivery.
Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately identify treatment areas for simulation and therapy.
Monitor patient safety throughout treatment procedures.
Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
Troubleshoot equipment operation and perform basic equipment adjustments when appropriate.
Train and support student radiation therapists and colleagues in equipment operation and departmental procedures.
Maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, clinical staff, and the public.
Apply written guidelines, policies, and standardized work practices consistently.
Identify and communicate patient care or equipment-related concerns promptly.
Maintain accurate treatment documentation and records.

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited radiation therapy program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation therapy techniques, and radiation safety practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
