We are seeking a full-time CT Technologist to join a professional healthcare team. This position is responsible for performing high-quality CT examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to established imaging protocols. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the CT suite for each patient, including loading the contrast injector and reviewing pre-CT laboratory results and imaging orders.
- Prepare and instruct patients regarding oral and IV contrast procedures according to established protocols.
- Review patient questionnaires and obtain signed consent for IV contrast examinations.
- Establish IV access for contrast administration.
- Review patient medical history, symptoms, and relevant prior imaging studies before scanning.
- Perform CT examinations according to established protocols using CT imaging equipment.
- Complete post-processing of images as required by protocol or physician request.
- Review image quality and transmit completed studies to the interpreting radiologist.
- Collaborate with Radiation Therapy Technologists and Radiation Oncologists for radiation therapy planning and simulation procedures.
- Perform daily and monthly quality assurance procedures on CT equipment, including daily warm-up and calibration.
- Maintain accurate quality assurance records in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain CT department policies and procedure manuals.
- Current New York State CT License.
- Current ARRT certification and compliance with continuing education requirements.
- Knowledge of CT imaging procedures, patient safety practices, and quality assurance standards.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Maintain current ARRT and New York State Department of Health licensure requirements, including all required continuing education credits.
