Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: East Syracuse, NY

Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time CT Technologist to join a professional healthcare team. This position is responsible for performing high-quality CT examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to established imaging protocols. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

Prepare the CT suite for each patient, including loading the contrast injector and reviewing pre-CT laboratory results and imaging orders.
Prepare and instruct patients regarding oral and IV contrast procedures according to established protocols.
Review patient questionnaires and obtain signed consent for IV contrast examinations.
Establish IV access for contrast administration.
Review patient medical history, symptoms, and relevant prior imaging studies before scanning.
Perform CT examinations according to established protocols using CT imaging equipment.
Complete post-processing of images as required by protocol or physician request.
Review image quality and transmit completed studies to the interpreting radiologist.
Collaborate with Radiation Therapy Technologists and Radiation Oncologists for radiation therapy planning and simulation procedures.
Perform daily and monthly quality assurance procedures on CT equipment, including daily warm-up and calibration.
Maintain accurate quality assurance records in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Maintain CT department policies and procedure manuals.

Qualifications:

Current New York State CT License.
Current ARRT certification and compliance with continuing education requirements.
Knowledge of CT imaging procedures, patient safety practices, and quality assurance standards.
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Continuing Education:

Maintain current ARRT and New York State Department of Health licensure requirements, including all required continuing education credits.
