Position: Middle and High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher
Organization: Islamic Tawheed Center of Detroit
Location: Detroit, Michigan
Start Date: August 2026
Academic Year: 2026–2027
The Islamic Tawheed Center of Detroit invites applications for a passionate High School English Language Arts Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Responsibilities
- Teach high school ELA courses including literature, writing, and language skills
- Promote analytical reading, writing proficiency, and communication skills
- Design engaging instruction aligned with academic standards
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Participate in school community and professional collaboration
Qualifications
- Required: Teaching experience at the high school level in English/ELA
- Preferred: Teaching certification or certification candidacy
- Strong instructional and communication skills
- Ability to inspire student engagement in literacy and critical thinking
