Join Our Team as a General Gastroenterologist

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Board Eligible/Board Certified General Gastroenterologist to become part of our practice in Athens, Texas.

Our facility, located near the scenic Lake Athens—a 1,799-acre reservoir—offers a beautiful community rich in outdoor recreational activities for you to enjoy during your downtime.

Our organization is committed to providing comprehensive care through collaborative, multi-disciplinary approaches and advanced technologies, including EPIC/EMR and DaVinci robotic systems. We are currently experiencing significant growth and expansion, with a new 60,000 sq. ft. medical office building set to open in 2027.

• Work alongside two advanced providers and a dedicated support team.
• Utilize smart technology to enhance patient care without extending your workday.
• Employ Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to streamline documentation, reduce administrative tasks, improve patient flow, and ensure accurate coding—leading to a better work-life balance and increased revenue.
• This is a full-time employed position.
• Experience with EUS or ERCP is preferred.
• Provide both inpatient and outpatient services.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (Clinic & Procedure days).
• Expected patient load: 18 to 22+ patients per day in the clinic.

Our healthcare system encompasses nine hospitals, over 90 physician clinics, and more than 500 employed providers. We also operate 13 regional rehabilitation facilities, two freestanding emergency centers, six urgent care clinics, and a comprehensive trauma care network, including a Level 1 trauma center. The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, the first medical school in East Texas, aims to train healthcare professionals who are attuned to the unique needs of rural and underserved communities. Currently, we are constructing a five-story, 248,000-square-foot Medical Education Building in Tyler’s Midtown District, which will enhance interdisciplinary education for medical students and residents. This facility is expected to be completed by fall 2025.
