Location: Anchorage, AK

Our client is a well-established, family-oriented company looking to add an Accounting Assistant to their team. Job Responsibilities

• Process and organize approximately 400 invoices through customer portals.
• Track invoice aging and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare month-end expense reports.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable and customer invoicing.
• Support collection efforts as part of a collaborative team.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Ensure accuracy while managing multiple detail-oriented tasks.
• Work closely with the Accounting Manager during the training period and gradually take ownership of daily responsibilities.
• Communicate with dispatch, office staff, and field technicians to assist with accounting-related processes.

Qualifications

• Strong basic computer skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable communicating with a variety of personalities in a blue-collar work environment.
• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, Accounts Receivable, or administrative experience is preferred but not required.

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with Sage.
• Experience with Workbooks software.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• Typical hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Flexible scheduling available as long as a consistent 8-hour workday is completed.
