Assistant Controller POST NUMBER: 163806

We are recruiting an Assistant Controller to join a rapidly growing company in a newly created position. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that will be responsible for overseeing key accounting operations, managing the close process, supporting financial reporting, and driving process improvements across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, evolving environment. Responsibilities Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide insights to finance leadership. Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reporting packages, and supporting analyses. Support technical accounting research, documentation, and implementation of accounting guidance. Partner with leadership on revenue recognition matters, contract review considerations, and other complex accounting transactions. Develop, document, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Partner with operational and business leaders to support reporting needs, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Participate in ERP enhancements, system implementations, and process transformation projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA is highly preferred 6 years of progressive accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility to include a mix of public accounting and industry desired. Experience within SaaS, software industry Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
