Position Overview and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care tailored to the specific needs of the department, adhering to the standards and practices relevant to the state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other members of the healthcare team, the RN provides personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care utilizing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes, thereby contributing to the overall success of the department.

• Regularly evaluates patient pain levels to ensure effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after interventions.
• Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring timely and thorough documentation in the patient’s medical record.
• Delivers outstanding care by promptly addressing patient requests and proactively anticipating their needs.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up actions, simplifying complex medical terms for better understanding.
• Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-medical follow-up strategies, such as healthy eating, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications, preparing them for future self-management.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within six months of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training must be completed within six months of employment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or a diploma in Nursing.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification must be acquired within one year of employment.

No travel is required for this position, and prior experience is not mandatory.
